About Medialogy

The challenge
When TJC (The Jewellery Channel) UK decided to embark on a major expansion and facility upgrade in 2020, they faced a complex technical transition. As a 24/7 shopping channel, they required a seamless move from their existing setup to a much larger, high-definition (HD) infrastructure without any downtime in broadcasting. The project demanded the construction of multiple new studios, a revamped distribution center, and a highly reliable playout solution capable of sustaining constant live commercial broadcasting to a nationwide audience.
The solution
Medialogy provided a fully integrated, turnkey solution designed to handle the rigorous demands of live retail television.
We designed and installed a brand-new HD 8-camera studio alongside a HD 4-camera studio, providing the creative flexibility needed for high-end product showcases. To manage their round-the-clock content, we implemented a sophisticated two-channel 24/7 playout solution and a modern distribution center. The entire facility was built using an optimized, future-proof architecture that allows for easy future upgrades to UHD/4K. Our team managed the process from initial architectural design and technical specification to the final commissioning and staff training.
The results
The major upgrade was delivered smoothly and efficiently, allowing TJC to transition to its new HD capabilities without interrupting its broadcast schedule.
TJC now operates from a world-class facility that offers significantly improved production values and operational reliability.
