Luna Simone Hotel

By upgrading to a high-density managed Wi-Fi network and a cloud-based communication suite, Luna Simone Hotel has enhanced its guest experience while ensuring seamless connectivity across its historic Victorian premises.

About Luna Simone Hotel

Established in 1970, the Luna Simone Hotel is a family-run guesthouse located in the heart of Victoria, London. Occupying two elegant Victorian buildings, this award-winning 3-star hotel has been managed by the same family for over 50 years. Their mission is to combine the warmth of a “home away from home” atmosphere with the professional standards required by modern international travellers.

The challenge

As a heritage property built in 1852, the Luna Simone Hotel faced significant technical hurdles. The thick Victorian masonry and the layout of the two separate buildings created “dead zones” where traditional Wi-Fi signals could not penetrate. Additionally, as more guests began travelling with multiple devices and streaming high-definition content, their legacy internet infrastructure was reaching its limit. The hotel needed a solution that provided 100% wireless coverage without compromising the aesthetic integrity of their historic architecture.

The solution

Through our specialist hospitality guidance, we implemented a Full-Stack Managed Connectivity Solution specifically designed for heritage buildings.

We deployed a high-density Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Network with discreetly placed access points to ensure seamless roaming between rooms, dining areas, and the two separate buildings. To complement this, we migrated their front-desk and room telephony to a Hosted VoIP System. This replaced their aging hardware with a scalable cloud platform that offers advanced features like automated wake-up calls and direct integration with their Property Management System (PMS).

To ensure the hotel stayed “always-on,” we installed a Dedicated Fibre Leased Line with a secondary 4G failover, guaranteeing that both guest services and internal booking systems remain operational even during external network outages.

The results

Luna Simone Hotel now provides a digital experience that matches its reputation for excellence. Guest complaints regarding connectivity have been eliminated, and the hotel has seen a marked increase in positive reviews regarding its “business-friendly” amenities.

By moving to a cloud-based telephony and data model, the hotel has reduced its monthly line rental costs while gaining the flexibility to manage bookings and guest requests from any device, whether at the front desk or working behind the scenes.

“Modernising a Victorian building is never easy, but the new system has been a revelation. Our guests now enjoy fast, reliable Wi-Fi in every corner of the hotel, and the new phone system has simplified our daily operations. It allows us to focus on what we do best—looking after our guests.”
