About Khans Solicitors

Established in 1985, Khans Solicitors is a long-standing, multi-disciplinary law firm with a reputation for delivering high-quality legal advice across London and Essex. With key offices in Canary Wharf and Ilford, the firm specializes in a wide range of legal sectors, including Family Law, Property Conveyancing, Immigration, and Criminal Defence. Their mission is to provide professional, direct, and dependable legal solutions while maintaining a personal touch for every client.

The challenge

As a firm operating across multiple locations, Khans Solicitors faced the challenge of maintaining a cohesive communication network between their Canary Wharf headquarters and their Ilford branch. Their traditional on-premise phone system created “communication silos,” making it difficult for solicitors to collaborate effectively or handle client calls while working remotely or attending court. Furthermore, as a legal practice, they required a solution that met the highest standards of data security and confidentiality for all digital communications.

The solution

Drawing on our expertise in the legal sector, we implemented a Cloud-Based Unified Communications (UC) platform, transitioning the firm away from restrictive physical hardware.

We integrated the Microsoft Teams Phone System across both branches, allowing staff to make and receive calls using their professional business numbers from any device—whether in the office, at court, or working from home. To ensure maximum reliability, we deployed High-Speed Fibre Connectivity at both sites with built-in failover capabilities. Additionally, we implemented advanced End-to-End Encryption and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all remote access points, ensuring that sensitive client information remains protected in full compliance with SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) guidelines.

The results

Khans Solicitors now benefits from a fully integrated, “borderless” communication system. The firm has seen a 25% improvement in client response times, as staff can now be reached instantly on a single number regardless of their location.

The move to the cloud has also eliminated the high maintenance costs associated with their legacy hardware and reduced international calling expenses. With a secure and flexible digital foundation, the firm’s solicitors are better equipped than ever to provide the dynamic and dependable service their clients have trusted for over 35 years.

“The transition to a cloud-based communication system has been a vital step in our firm’s growth. It has given our solicitors the flexibility they need to work effectively from any location without compromising on the security or professional standards our clients expect. We now operate as one unified team, regardless of which office we are working from.”
